Share With The Community – Publish With First Chair

First Chair welcomes submissions of articles on any topic for publication in print and online in the First Chair Magazine. Submissions must be exclusive to us and can be of any length, though they are unlikely to be accepted if they are longer than 1000 words. We do not consider articles sent to other publications or posted online, including on a personal blog, nor do we consider anonymous or pseudonymous submissions.

Countless factors affect whether an article is suitable for publication in the in the First Chair Magazine, including space constraints, timeliness and relevance. You need not possess any special expertise to have your article considered for publication.

We do our best to read all submissions promptly and will contact you within one week if we are interested in publishing your article. If you do not hear from us in a week, it is safe to assume we will not be able to use your article.

The form below is the best way to submit your article. Please type or paste your article as plain text, not HTML, and please do not use brackets. Information relevant to your expertise, or additional authors, may be included in the comments field.

In consideration of the acceptance of the above Work for publication, I do hereby assign and transfer to the First Chair, LLC all my rights, title, and interest in and to the copyright in the Work. This assignment transfers to First Chair, LLC all my rights under any law governing moral rights, publicity rights, privacy rights or other proprietary rights directly or indirectly relating to the Work assigned. This assignment applies to all translations of the Work. I attest and warrant that: (1) the Work is original and without fabrication, plagiarism, or fraud; (2) the Work are not currently under consideration elsewhere and will not be submitted for publication elsewhere unless a final decision is made that the Work is not acceptable for publication by the First Chair, LLC; and (3) no part of the Work violates any copyright, moral right or other right of any third party. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois (United States), without regard to its choice of law principles.
